Most battery articles explain one voltage at a time. StartVitals asks for the same evidence in the order a useful electrical screen needs it: resting charge, cranking behavior, running charging support and electrical load.
The result does not claim certainty. It tells the user which confirming test has the highest value before a battery, starter or alternator is purchased.

StartVitals is produced by the StartVitals Editorial Team. The team researches current manufacturer, instrument-maker, battery-industry and safety guidance and translates it into a conservative browser-based decision flow. We do not claim that the website has inspected your vehicle or that its content has been individually approved by your vehicle manufacturer.
How the website is funded
StartVitals is free to use. The site may display clearly labeled advertising after approval by an advertising provider. Advertising does not change diagnostic thresholds, and advertisers do not receive the voltage readings entered into the tool.
